"Coffee with the Council" is an opportunity to meet during an informal session with the City Council Members, Mayor and City Administrator. The date and time of the next meeting will be posted when set.

The Mayor and City Council members are the elected leaders of the City Government. They are elected to four-year terms with four members elected in November of even-numbered years, the next city election will be in 2012. Meetings are held 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 540 West Hills Circle.
The City Council makes all policy decisions in matters such as legislation, zoning, budgets and improvment projects. The Council hires the City Attorney and City Administrator, and confirms appointments to the City's Boards, Commissions, and Department Head positions.

The Ward Map does show the new Ward/Precinct boundaries approved by City Council in April 2012 which will become effective with the August 2012 Primary Election. )
5/15/12 - City Council approved moving the polling site for the 2012 Primary Electionof Ward 4, Precinct 2 to Saint John's Lutheran Church at 1301 Lincoln Avenue. The Steele County Free Fair opens the same date and the traffic and congestion at the fairgounds will make it difficult for the Community Center to serve as a polling site for the August 14, 2012 Primary Election. Notificaitons will mailed to registered voters in 4th Ward, Precinct 2.
