"Coffee with the Council" is an opportunity to meet during an informal session with the City Council Members, Mayor and City Administrator. The meetings will be held quarterly throughout the year, the last "Coffee with the Council" was held on May 18th and the next "Cofffee with the Council" will be held later this summer. __________________________________________________________________________________________
The Mayor and City Council members are the elected leaders of the City Government. They are elected to four-year terms with four members elected in November of even-numbered years, the next city election will be in 2014. Meetings are held 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 540 West Hills Circle.
The City Council makes all policy decisions in matters such as legislation, zoning, budgets and improvment projects. The Council hires the City Attorney and City Administrator, and confirms appointments to the City's Boards, Commissions, and Department Head positions.
