2020 Updated Schedule

  • The program would begin the week of July 6th and run for 6 weeks.  Teams (pods) would meet one night a week for 1.5 hours. 
    • Mini Crush (grades K-2 just completed) will meet Mondays 5:30 – 7:00pm at Manthey, field 1
    • Junior Crush (grades 3-4 just completed) will meet Wednesdays 5:30 – 7:00pm at Manthey, field 2  

COVID-19 Program Safety Plan


Mini Crush Softball - Grades 1 & 2 (Grade just finished)

  • This is an in-house program emphasizing fundamental softball skill development using fun and creative drills appropriate for this age group.
  • Players will learn the proper techniques for throwing, catching, fielding, batting, base running, and good sportsmanship.
  • Practices will primarily focus on skill development drills and stations. It will consist of smaller groups and will include fun competitions throughout to showcase skill development.
  • Coach pitching and/or pitching machines will be used.
  • Each participant will receive a uniform, consisting of a shirt and socks. Sizes needed at the time of registration.
  • No evaluations needed; players will be grouped together by grade. Coaches will notify players in late May regarding the first practice.
  • Monday and Wednesday evenings June thru July.
  • Registration in-person February 24th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at West Hills Social Commons (formerly Senior Place). After that, registrations will be accepted at the Parks & Rec office.
  • Fee: $60 payable to Parks & Rec until March 5th. Registrations received after March 5th will be subject to a $10 late fee.

Junior Crush Softball – Grades 3 & 4 (Grade just finished)

  • This is an in-house program emphasizing fundamental softball skill development using fun and creative drills appropriate for this age group.
  • Note on age criteria:
    • 3rd & 4th graders born in 2009 or 2010 may either participate in this league OR the U10 traveling league, but not both since they may be held on the same nights. (2011 birth year may not participate in the U10 traveling league).
  • Players will continue development of proper techniques for throwing, catching, fielding, batting, base running, and good sportsmanship, while also learning the fundamentals of pitching, catching, bunting, and game situations.
  • Practices will primarily focus on skill development drills and stations, some games and other fun competitions throughout to showcase skill development.
  • Coach pitching, player pitching and pitching machines may all be used.
  • Each participant will receive a uniform, consisting of a shirt and socks. Sizes needed at the time of registration.
